The Butchers' and Drovers' Charitable Institution (BDCI) is the meat industry's very own charity and was set up to help anyone who has been associated with the industry and their families in time of need.

 

But the BDCI were finding that those most 

deserving of their help were unaware of the charity's existence.

their trade press, were designed to redress the balance.
